Yes, this course is recommended for those who are at the high beginner to intermediate English (ESL/ESOL) levels. If you understand basic English words and phrases for everyday life (even if you don't feel confident speaking), this class would be a good choice for you.

This course is highly interactive because it meets in person.  We believe in learning by doing, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to participate in class conversations and activities.

Focusing on seasonal vocabulary allows you to learn words and phrases that are timely and relevant, making them easier to remember and apply.

Though the main themes will be about Fall and Winter activities, the application of the grammar structures and conversations apply throughout the year.

Dianne Anderson will be your instructor. She is a highly trained educator with a Masters of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and holds additional certifications in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Her experience as a professional educator spans 30 years with more than twenty years of experience teaching English (ESL/ESOL) to students of all ages and from a variety of language backgrounds. Her other professional experiences include teaching in all levels of classrooms, serving as a team lead, coaching other educators for best practice in instruction, and directing an ESL/ESOL program at a non-profit. As an instructor, she communicates clearly and prepares a variety of resources to support student learning for each lesson. Dianne speaks both English and Spanish and understands the challenges of learning a new language.

• Fall Celebrations and Related Vocabulary (including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and common expressions)
• Basic Simple Past Tense Verbs and Sentence Structures
• Conversations to Ask & Answer Questions about Fall Celebrations

Class 3:

• Review of Classes 1 & 2
• Winter Themes & Winter Holiday Words and Related Vocabulary (including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and common expressions)
• Basic Future Tense Verbs and Sentence Structures
• Conversations to Ask & Answer Questions about Winter Themes & Winter Holidays
